About najitucetni.cz

Our Mission

najitucetni.cz is an independent English reference for expats and foreign residents dealing with Czech taxes, VAT, payroll, and OSVC self-employment. We translate complex Czech tax regulations into plain English and keep the numbers current with each legislative change.

Editorial Approach

Every article is based on primary Czech legislation: Act No. 586/1992 Coll. on income taxes, Act No. 235/2004 Coll. on VAT, Act No. 262/2006 Coll. (Labor Code), Act No. 187/2006 Coll. on sickness insurance, and other applicable statutes. Rates, thresholds, and deadlines are updated at each legislative change. Every article is reviewed before publication.

Calculators are based on the current rates for tax, insurance contributions, minimum wage, lump-sum expenses, and other parameters valid for the given year. Formulas are cross-checked against known model cases and against the Czech Financial Administration portal.

History

The site launched in 2025 to consolidate scattered Czech tax and accounting information in a fast, modern format. In 2025 we published hundreds of guides, calculators, and reference articles.

Who Runs the Site

Published by the najitucetni.cz editorial team led by Daniel Rombakh, a self-employed sole trader based in Prague. The editorial team works with external accounting and tax consultants for expert review.

What We Do Not Do

The site does not provide tax advisory services within the meaning of Czech Act No. 523/1992 Coll., does not provide bookkeeping services, and does not replace individual consultations with a tax advisor, accountant, or attorney. We do not endorse specific accounting firms. All content is for informational purposes only. For a specific tax matter, consult a qualified advisor listed with the Czech Chamber of Tax Advisors.
